Enter Receipts for Payments we have made

Receipts for purchases we have made go into bottom basket. People who have bought stuff (usually Kate and Walter) put the receipts into the basket.

Some receipts come by mail, mainly the Telephone Accounts, CRT.

Here are the steps:

1. Prepare the receipts

Tape or staple small receipts to the A4 “Receipts Form”.
Mark the following info clearly on large receipts, or
fill in the following information on the form:

  • DATE
  • Circle: Cash G-Plus BNZ
    GP last digits are 8741
    BNZ Efptos Last digits 0490)
  • Who was it paid TO:
  • What was it for:
  • MoneyWorks Account:

Sort out the Global Plus ones from the rest, make two piles.

2. Enter Payments into MoneyWorks

Open the Payments tab in MoneyWorks
Ctrl-T will take you to the Transactions page then click “View by Type” and Payments.
Open a Payments Dialogue box. (Ctrl-N will do it if you are on the right tabs.)

  • Supplier: Enter them in if appropriate, one offs don’t need to be in there.
  • Period: This will come up automatically when you add the date.
  • Cheque #:
  • Date: Date of the transaction
  • Bank:
    • BNZ
    • GP
    • Cash
  • To: Name of the person or company we purchased stuff from
  • Description: – put in summary.
  • Analysis: your initials
  • Paid by: Method of payment.
    • Cash – (Cash Memo)
    • Cheque
    • Electronic – (for Eftpost, online payments, auto payments, DD)
    • Credit Card – Global Plus

Once the receipt is entered initial the bottom right.

File in hanger – there is one for BNZ and one for GP receipts.
